MEET CELIA
GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Born April 20th, 1972 in Chalatenango, El Salvador Celia immigrated to South Central at a young age. She attended John C. Fremont High School and to this day is studying physiology and business administration. As a single mom Celia worked up to three jobs to make ends meet. She persevered and opened up her first small business, a gym on Pacific boulevard. Celia is now an insurance broker with her own business on Florence Ave. Celia never forgot where she came from and she made it a mission to give back to the community. She is center chief for Grameen America , a non profit that empowers women entrepreneurs through small loans so they can start or expand their businesses. Celia wishes to further give back and empower the community by serving as council member for Huntington Park.
